Sawiris Distinction Scholarship for Public High School Graduates

The Sawiris Distinction Scholarship is a fully-funded scholarship that aims to provide around 50 equal opportunities for outstanding Egyptian students to obtain a high-quality university education at a selection of the leading Egyptian universities in Egypt.

The scholarship provides an outstanding academic experience for students in various important fields to support the future of the Egyptian economy, which qualifies them to obtain competitive job opportunities after graduation.

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS:

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

• To be an Egyptian national residing in Egypt (preference will not be given to dual nationality holders).
• To be a graduate of Egyptian Thanwya Amma public schools in 2021/2022 with a score no less than 90%.
• Applicants must meet all the criteria set by the university they will be applying to.
• Applicants must not have lived more than three years abroad.
• Priority will be given to those with demonstrated financial need, academic excellence, and engagement in extracurricular activities.
• Preference will be given to Takaful and Karama Program beneficiaries.
• Be committed to work in Egypt for 3 years after graduation and completing military service, where applicable.

Selection as a nominee for the Sawiris Distinction Scholarship does not guarantee university acceptance. Applicants must apply to their desired universities from the list of selected universities and programs through this link.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

Students who are interested to obtain the scholarship opportunity should follow the below steps:

1. Fulfill your admission requirements at the partner university of your interest.
2. Complete the online application of Sawiris Foundation and please make sure to include your letter of admission in the list of required documents in the application. The online application will be available soon.
